I didn't know him and learn that he turned pretty soon to television. Too bad.) Workers in a factory of Southern California are leading a life of hard work, friendship, and happy familly raising when suddenly the corrupted boss of their union is going postal. He (Mickey Rooney) discovers that two of the guys (Mel Tormé and Steve Cochran) witnessed and could testify against him. Big, very big problems follow: violence, torture, kidnapping. Some lows also, naturally. For instance, the annoying inability to show TV filming in cinema, but it was so frequent —even Network failed in it—, and the overacting kid, (but this is common too) and some other little things. The rest is excellent, musical score included. Very nice surprise, this unsung little gem! Un sacré bon petit film, avec un sacré grand petit Mickey Rooney, et un sacré bon sujet. Yes: you go to "Profile", then to "Pictures provided" and then you squint your eyes, take a pencil and paper —or open a doc.txt— and then count and mark and re-count. Or maybe another method would be by begging antp with the utmost disgusting obsequiosity… I don't know, I didn't try.
