The original base is of a pick-up, yes? (I'm wondering whether to class it "p-u" or "van".) |

@ Ddey65: only if 114"/2.90 m wheelbase. Are you sure of it, there? It's an Apache for sure, and if a ½-ton 31, it would have indeed the 3112 Chevrolet internal "chassis" code. But the 2nd and 3rd thumbs make me wonder if it couldn't be the 123¼"/3.13 m wheelbase of a ¾-ton 36 (3612 code) ![]() There were apparently no Apache 32 with the "chassis+cowl+windshield" selling option (3212). I tried to zoom on the picture, but for me the fender emblem could show a 31 as well as a 36... @ DidierF: this body is made on a kind of chassis + cab basis. In the xx12 models, the rear part of the cab was "cut". It can be seen as a intermediary model between the xx02 (chassis + cowl, used for the buses, for example) and the xx03 (chassis + cab, used for box trucks and tow trucks). |
