2007-11-14 00:10 | Apparently there's going to be a spectacular chase set in London with two brand new cars, a Mercedes C-Klasse and a Land Rover Range Rover, cant wait to it ![]() |
2007-11-22 16:33 | Here are some new pictures of the trailer: ![]() The Mercedes crashed a lot in that trailer. |
2007-11-22 16:55 | just CANT wait to seing it -- Last edit: 2007-11-22 16:55:57 |
2007-11-22 16:57 | It looks interesting indeed ![]() |

2007-12-05 10:43 | ...and a little pre Christmas gift for carchasesfanatic ![]() Half of the chase can be seen here: Trailer 2 ![]() |
2007-12-05 11:03 | Trailer looks like a 120" ad for the C-Klasse. The London cab corners nicely too. |
2007-12-05 11:34 | Thanks Waserspeier !!! that definelty looks promising i really cant wait to see it, i hope it lasts another few minutes because that shown then looks indeed very nice ![]() |
2007-12-17 04:05 | The C-Class is the reason why I want to see this. It's a C280. |
2007-12-20 09:44 | I saw the movie today (the day it came out!), the car chase with the C280, the Range Rover, London Taxi cab and a truck was fantastic. there was also aa chase with the Merc SUV and some cop cars. |
2007-12-26 08:22 | Pretty decent movie, plenty of set pieces without lots of violence, though that's not surprising considering it is a Disney movie. The chase between the C-Klasse and the Range Rover was good, though that was the only scene where cars figured prominently. Some cars I remember: Ferrari F430 Spider REVA G-Wiz Buick Lacrosse Cadillac STS -- Last edit: 2007-12-26 08:23:28 |
2008-01-03 14:23 | Really good movie. I usually wait till they come out on DVD but I ended up going to the theater. I loved the C280...beautiful car! During the rest of the movie I couldn't get the theme song of Goonies out of my head. |
2008-01-03 20:23 | Critics are not so positive about this movie. |
2008-01-03 21:21 | I never hear to that, i hear that of "oh this new movie at theaters is very abd blah blah blah" then i go to the cinema and i like it, so i prefere juzging myself |
2008-01-17 12:14 | Six C-Klasse and two GL-Klasse were supplied by M-B and all were destroyed, according some artical I read on product placement. -- Last edit: 2008-01-17 12:14:41 |
2008-01-17 14:27 | I read that the chase included seven cameras, 80 stunt people, the destruction of 40 to 50 cars and many hours of editing. |
2008-01-17 14:56 | 40 50 cars? no way, ive seen it and the really destroyed cars are the taxi, the mercedes and the truck gets a bit destroyed, then a few bikes a G-Wiz and the mercedes hits a scenic which i dotn think it counts as destroyed, 40 or 50 sounds a lot to me for what is visible in the chase. |
2008-01-17 15:07 | As dudley said: Six C-Klasse, two GL-Klasse, X Ford Crown Victoria, ... Often you have to reshoot a scene because something got wrong. Even if you don't see a car crashing in a movie that doesn't mean it wasn't crashed during the making of (e.g. vehicle_110101) Found the info here: A great car chase is fast; making it is slow And a special video for all crash fans: National Treasure 2: Making of the crashes -- Last edit: 2008-01-17 15:20:38 |
2008-01-17 15:24 | I know that and you are right but 50 still seem a lot to me |
2008-05-01 01:49 | Pictures added from DVD; strange that there were not more pics for this one, it is not common these days that a movie stays uncompleted before the DVD availability... |
2008-05-01 15:23 | The chase scene wasn't bad, but the main appeal for me was that it was set in England. It's become a real frustration that chase scenes are very rarely set in the UK |
2008-05-01 17:41 | Probably something to do with the Elf'n'Safety? |
2008-05-01 17:49 | And the myriad authorities before the HSE have their say - councils, police, TfL Buses, TfL Streets... It's getting better, we're told, but there still exists a jobsworth attitude. Not like the US, where you can (or could when I shot there) do what you liked. |
2008-05-01 21:05 | On reflection I think you're right, dudley. I suspect the authorities - the ones you mention, among others - tend to use the HSE as an excuse to throw their weight about; in fact these jobsworths probably enjoy f***ing up car chases - as they do everything from St George's Day parades to kids' playgrounds |
2008-05-01 21:29 | You forgot hanging baskets ![]() |
2008-05-01 22:05 | So I did; and conkers, and (in Wolverhampton) A-boards outside shops ... I guess I didn't want to bore other members with the innumerable idiocies of our so-called public servants ![]() BTW I wonder if these facilities would have been available to British film-makers? -- Last edit: 2008-05-01 22:08:43 |
2008-06-24 09:47 | that police bike got wrecked although I have not seen the movie yet |
2008-12-07 12:32 | Some scooters in the movie: ![]() Behind the scenes and deleted scenes: (maybe moviemakers should plan their filming better to prevent costly stunts and material. After seeing the movie again I can't see the bunch of money they put into the car chase!) ![]() -- Last edit: 2008-12-07 12:36:01 |
