Quite a famous film for its time (and made quite a resurgence recently) and a showcase of Blok M's former glory where many wealthy youths used to hangout in. Though, Blok M in reality actually lags behind Lintas Melawai in terms of popularity with the youth in the 1980s to early 90s, even Hari Moekti made a song about it. The first KFC in Indonesia opened up in Blok M but has since been replaced with a Family Mart, the reopened one "first" KFC location opened up right across the street from the actual OG location and sells the classic fried chicken combo with coleslaw, mashed potatoes, rolls and cob of corn. These days, Blok M's making a resurgence with younger people because of the trendy shops and cafes that recently opened there, and where you can find some good ol' cassette tapes, vinyls, CDs and players. The MRT station that recently opened right in front of Blok M also helped with adding more traffic. And I mean MORE because the traffic jam there is also bad. Not too mention, this is the Japan Town of Jakarta so be expected to find some really nice Japanese restaurants and cafes here, ehehe...  -- Last edit: 2025-09-14 09:04:10 |

Funnily enough, I happen to visited that following quarter yesterday by night. Upon returning home, I got surprised when its title pops up in one of the titles listed at the 'Last Completed Movie Pages' section as I open IMCDb by mobile. |
