I own a '53 Pontiac and that is no '53/'54 Pontiac. It doesn't have the right body panels, unless it's Canadian (Canadian Pontiacs used Chevy bodies), but the dual streak trim that all Pontiacs use just isn't there.

Wow!! This is a TOUGH one. It sure looks like a 1953-54 GM A-body in terms of the shape, greenhouse ... everything down to the bumper overrider. I was all set to say this was a 1953-54 Chevrolet with odd taillights ... but that car has a totally different emblem on the rear deck. And the emblem on this subject car looks original.

Going on Vipergtsrgt1's clue, I thought maybe it was a Canadian Pontiac ... but his point is well-taken about the chrome streak. AND the Canadian Pontiac's emblem, though closer, still isn't the same as the one pictured in the subject car:

So then I cast around looking at Holdens (GM Australia, which often has had products styled most like US-built GM products), Opel (GM in Germany) and Vauxhall (GM in the UK). No luck.

It could also be a Russian knock-off of a mid-50s GM product. Come to look at it again ... it is a bit on the narrow side. Hmm ...

I think everyone seems to be overlooking antp's comment, it's a GM A-body modified in the typical Cuban style. The question is which one...

All my money is on a Chevy 150 1954.
