This is the 1952 to 1955 Standard Steel Saloon with the long boot. If a Bentley it will be an R-type, if a Royce it will be a Silver Dawn, this body would not fit on the Silver Wraith chassis, it's too short in the wheelbase. /vehicle_546023-Bentley-R-Type-1954.html Numbers produced suggest that this may be a Bentley rather than a Royce, comparing all the first generation of bodywork, 7521 Bentleys, 670 Royces. The picture is very small, but there is no sign of the square Rolls-Royce badge on the back bumper, the Bentley wings were much less obtrusive, so again my view tends towards Bentley. I would not die in a ditch if it wasn't. -- Last edit: 2016-08-11 10:49:41 |
