2004 MY by the VIN. The build sheet will list the 1st year of Manufacture instead of the MY. Best to go off the VIN and build date and not Concentrate on that field. |

The MY concept only works if there is a change in spec or features from one production phase to the next - if there is no change, then there is no reason to create a new MY (whether in the manufacturers coding system or further down the line for us to juggle with), so build date rules supreme. I've checked Glass's info for UK Matizes and there's nothing listed for range changes in late 03, although a couple of limited editions were added. The probable context is that Daewoo Matizes were discontinued here in May 04 - so the additions were run-out versions - and nothing happened in late 03 because this discontinuation was anticipated. We did not get the revised Chevrolet Matizes until some months later at the start of 2005. |
