From IMDB goofs:

The seats in Simon Skinner's (Timothy Dalton's) light blue Jaguar XK convertible alternate between a pre-2000 model year and a post-2000 model year car - the difference being adjustable headrests.

I do not remember that the car is seen in another scene, so is this visible in these pictures?

nope, the car on the pic is clearly post 2000

Is this definately an XKR?

I don't think too many real life supermarket managers drive cars like this.

There are many things in this movie that are not like in real life [:ddr555]
The car had a XKR badge if I remember well (not very visible on the rear view picture), so it is probably a XKR.

it is a XKR for sure.

the XKR is always very easy recognizable due to vents in the hood and the mesh grille as was already mentioned before ;)

Actually it was, after George Merchant is killed and his house is blown up, Angel once again sees a smirking Skinner passing by the scene in his Jag (but since it's a close-up of him, you only see a little bit of the interior of his car).

I'd like to point that in real life nobody in Britain could have a registered personalised plate with that many letters and only one number (or maybe the I is a 1)!

Here's the scene where the different car is used:

It also had different alloys, see this behind the scenes shot:

Hey G-Mann didn't a car like that appear in "Die Another Day"? in which Bond was driving new Vanquish when been chase by the Jaguar XKR but it had a machine gun in the back. Althought Timothy Dalton was in attending with his predeccors Roger Moore,George Lazenby & current bond at that time Perce Brosnan.

Now for my fresh comments we remember he drove the V8 powered Vantage in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS. Could he trade that Aston Martin for this Jaguar. We remember Jaguar & Aston Martin were own by Ford now seperate ways. Well his next car???

I quietly wish this would've been an Aston Martin V8 Volante like Dalton drives as Bond in The Living Daylights - before the hard top is installed by Q branch. Obviously 2 different cars, but it's a convertible when we first see it in TLD. Still, it might've been too on-the-nose for Wright, or he may not have cared at all -- the XKR does fine.
