This scene was the reenactment of the downfall and capture of Gennaro "Jerry" Angiulo who was arrested by the FBI at his social club on North Margin Street in the North End of Boston on the morning of 19th September 1983. Jerry Angiulo and his brothers, Donato, Francesco and James were made men for the Patriarca Crime Family based out of Rhode Island who were in charge of racketeering throughout Massachusetts. Jerry Angiulo was convicted of illegal gambling, loan sharking, obstruction of justice and racketeering and was sentenced to 45 years imprisonment in February 1986, he was released on parole from the hospital wing of the federal prison at Fort Devens due to ill health on the 10th September 2007 and died of renal kidney failure at the Massachusetts General Hospital in the West End of Boston on the 29th August 2009. -- Last edit: 2022-02-26 09:40:31 |
