It's probably what directors seem to do, show a DS or a 2CV driving around, and everyone will know it's France. Still, weird to make it a Taxi |

I read that Jonathan Demme wanted to give the film a Nouvelle vague flavour, so perhaps that's why he used classic French cars. |
