A little weird, this scene seems as if it takes place nowadays. What are the odds of still having a DS as taxi nowadays???

I do not know why they used only old cars as taxis in that movie (also 403, 604 and R16)

It's probably what directors seem to do, show a DS or a 2CV driving around, and everyone will know it's France. Still, weird to make it a Taxi

I read that Jonathan Demme wanted to give the film a Nouvelle vague flavour, so perhaps that's why he used classic French cars.
