Like the GM C/K series D is for 2 wheel drive and W is for 4 wheel drive. This truck seems low to the ground so it's likely to be a D-series

No, the Ramcharger was more like the Chevrolet Blazer & GMC Jimmy.

Plymouth's version was called the Trail Duster.

I think you're thinking of Power Wagon. I believe that is what the 4 wheel drives were called when they switched to the Ram name in 1981.

"Power Wagon" for Dodge 4x4 has been around since about 1946.
