Total built: Approx 300 Range Rover Monteverdi, mainly sold to Middle East customers - "Monteverdi Design" badge mounted on Range Rover scuttle, tailgate, and grille - Door handles and locks from Austin Allegro - Total sold UK: Approx 60 vehicles, available from late 1981 - First Range Rover Monteverdi prototype built August 1979 - Last Monteverdi built March 11th 1982 - Schuler Automatic FF also available - Complete 2 door Range Rovers in white colour with A/C transported to Italy, to Monteverdi's converter in Italy; Carozzeria Fissore in Savigliano. From here which has pictures showing the sloping rear edge to rear door, which was vertical when Land Rover developed their own conversion. |

We own this Monteverdi Range Rover and it is awaiting a full nut and bolt rebuild. It was also a development vehicle used by Land Rover as a styling exercise. |
