SirKittalot ◊ 2018-03-06 22:26	Ok I've found this image, which I'm positive is the same vehicle as that in the movie. It says the photo was taken in 1944 in Poland, in Warsaw.
SirKittalot ◊ 2018-03-06 23:44	The only thing I've found that's close is the Polski-Fiat 508, as it comes in a van body that looks very similar to the one in the movie, and it has a split bumper, however the grille looks different.

SirKittalot ◊ 2018-03-13 14:51	I've found similar images - it's definitely a DKW, probably a Kastenwagen like you say - the grille, wings, side strip, height of the window above the sidestrip all matches
