cieraguy's right, you know. In the DVD narrative of "American Pie 2" Jason Biggs referred to that early-1980's Ford Bronco as a "seventy-something model. If that were true, it would either have bee this one, or the full-size models for 1978 or 1979. |

The very first Ford Broncos’ first showed up in the late ‘60s, but they were not considered (full-size) at the time. Although the Bronco "II" was discontinued at the start of the ‘90s due to the Ford Explorer, Ford still recognized this Bronco as (full-size). And so it was still referred to as the (Full-Size Ford Bronco) although it didn’t need to be, there was no need to call it that. This is a perfect example as to why car companies should not name two vehicles the same name. |

Another point of view is continuing with a successful name...like the Bronco, Impala, Mustang, Corvette etc... and this is not a '77 as it has fuel doors and therefor no exposed fuel cap. |

Yes, but it’s not logical to manufacture two vehicles with the same name, at the same time; like the bigger and smaller Bronco were. The names caused problems with consumers, who would get the two vehicles confused. |
