I am thinking about a Mk II Ford Consul or a related Zephyr or Zodiac. |

Me too. Probably 59+, maybe Zephyr. |

Usually I'd agree this is a 1959+ low line model because of the added s/s rear window surrounds, but no chromed rain gutters and unusual high roof line made me think. Please compare this 1958 high line http://bringatrailer.com/2014/01/31/big-brit-1958-ford-zephyr-saloon/ with this 1960 low line http://forum.savarturbo.se/viewtopic.php?t=9207 . I believe this is perhaps a 1958 MY (or perhaps 1957) that has a modified rear window surrounds. Interesting, I didn't know that could be done... |

Would 57 Zodiac - eg /vehicle_289653-Ford-Zodiac-207E-1957.html - solve this?? |

Maybe you'll find some more informations here, but that's all I have: |

So, 57 or 59? |

@DidierF: Thank you for the thumb! Here I can see it has the rectangular dash board top of the low line https://www.flickr.com/photos/albertsbite/4038928975/ instead of the semi circular top like the high line https://www.flickr.com/photos/doctor_keats/2062060256/ . It seems someone just have removed the chromed plate of the rain gutters, otherwise a standard fitting as of 1959 MY onwards. |

@dsl: That Zodiac, if a Zodiac in the first place, is heavily modified. I don't know how to judge that one... |
