1975-80 Volvo 264GL/GLE it looks like |

I agree it must be a Volvo 264, but not as late as 1980. The up-side-down interior picture (12th thumb) shows a door with the earlier chrome upper part of the "door handle" and the pre 1978 velour upholstery. It has also the 1975-78 rear lights exclusive for the 260-series. The 11th picture shows the car up-side-down and that the engine has the wide oil pan of the B27 (V6) http://www.volvobertone.com/motor262n20.html , only available on the 260-series cars, hence the 6 in 260. I don't believe this car is completely original, as it has 1980+ rear view mirrors and a 1978+ bumper. Also the chrome strip around the headlamps and grill is missing, but the chrome strip around the door handles is still there. This is more than likely a 1975-77 Volvo 264 GL, perhaps leaning towards 1976 as the earliest year because of the colour. If I remember this correctly, the GLE notation wasn't used until 1978. Also this is not a 244 DLS as they never had V6, and nor is it a 264 DL as they had a black grill. |

Yeah, I remember the GLE wasn't introduced until later. 264 DL's do have a black grille. You're probably right with 1975-77 264GL. |

A Volvo in a 1990s movie filmed in Indonesia? Rare! |
