The Grey isn't cladding, it is painted lower half and the wheels are alloys, not covers. All US 800s were only available with alloys from new.

Rover and Honda both developed the base and running gears to which they then added thier own body style/interiors. The European model 800s were also available with 2.0 Rover M and L series engines.
