2 litre naturally aspirated 5 cylinder engine, with 300+ hp, and revved to 8500 rpm. Weight was 975 kgs. The Volvo won the BTCC ( British Touring Car Championship )in 1998, in the hands of Swedish driver Rickard Rydell. The racing car was built by British racing firm Tom Walkinshaw Racing. ( TWR ) |
