Diesel Jim ◊ 2008-02-16 00:11	It's the wrong green for John Deere. It has likely been repainted to a railroad's color. I would call this one a Case 580E Backhoe (Construction and Engineering category).
JasonMac ◊ 2010-10-01 05:30	I'm 100% positive this is a painted green CASE 580C. It isn't a 580 D or E! The dead give away is the position of the work lights on the Rops structure. The 580C had them positioned half way up the machine, as in the picture above. The 580D and E, the machines looked almost identical, to each other (other than original color D-Black and Orange Scheme, E Brown and Tan color scheme).. the shapes were exactly the same on the D & E.... the improvements on the E over the D were Engine, Hydraulic pumps... stuff you would never see at first glance, other than color... which wouldn't matter in this picture anyway, because this machine is painted green instead.
