Isn't it a Grand Wagoneer with that wood trim?

No, it's a Cherokee Laredo. The Grand Wagoneer name was never used on the XJ, and what looks like wood panelling is just the reflection of the ground.

The name was used on the smaller Cherokee, but only for a short time. Jeep put fake wood trim on the small Cherokee and named it the "Grand Wagoneer". Jeep tried to pass it off as the replacement for the (full-size) Jeep Grand Wagoneer, but it never worked and so it was discontinued.

No, there was a Wagoneer model of the XJ, but the Grand Wagoneer name was used on the ZJ Grand Cherokee, in '93 (and as you said, it didn't work and it was dropped).

It's a 1988-90 Cherokee Laredo. I have a 1989 like this. The 1991 model is similar but the headrests do not have holes in them (I also have one for parts).

Is it possible to have a Laredo with woodgrain? Of course it is! Mine had woodgrain on it's tailgate when I got it!

From what I remember there is no wood on the side of the car but I would have to check to be sure.

There isn't, if there would be, there would also be plastic-covered aluminium mouldings running above and below the woodgrain (and there isn't). It's just the reflection of the ground as Hecubus said.

I just wanted to say that some incorrect parts could find their way on an 17 years old vehicle!

I'll also add that there was a Cherokee model available in 1991-1992 that had woodgrain side paneling like the 1984-90 XJ Wagoneer, it was named the Cherokee Briarwood.

It is possible to get a Cherokee with wood. The 1991-1996(?) Briarwood models had wood as it was a luxurious replacement for the Wagoneer which was dropped after 1990.

I know that, look at my last post (just before yours).

As I looked again, this one either a 1988 or a 1989, the 1990 model had shoulder belts for the rear passenger.
