Before 1994, Federal Republic of Germany plates looked like this: http://plaque.free.fr/eur/d/?path=./p1_PASS_PRE-1994/ Plates with area codes and serial numbers but no serial letters are for official vehicles. The FE-Schrift font was introduced in 1994. All FE-Schrift plates have a blue strip with the European flag, except for temporary and export plates, and this is neither of those. Only military plates have the German national flag. I think they took a Hamburg (HH) official vehicle plate, and covered the blue strip with a sticker to make it look older. Current official plates look like this: http://plaque.free.fr/eur/d/?path=./q1_OFFICIAL/ |

Yes, a 1200, but with this colour (if original) a later Mexico-Käfer. Could be the 1983 special edition "Aubergine", if not, it's from those years anyways, as this colour was available then. |

By the colour a late car built in Mexico, perhaps 1982+ or later. |

Let's say 1983 VW 1200, built in Mexico |

Shouldn't it be rated higher? If I remember well, it's a car of the rescued German and it was shown twice, once in move. EDIT: That's better -- Last edit: 2012-12-27 22:44:33 |
