Previously listed on /vehicle.php?id=506696 (recycled for the other car on the pic) They probably used several cars, are all the same Thai Camry? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

@antp: The XV30 Camry was made in the Philippines. The front styling is different from the US model, but Wikipedia hasn't got a photo of the Philippine version: Link to "en.wikipedia.org" |

So this one is the made-in-Philippines in the end? |

This is not made for the Philippines. It's probably a grey import, but that's impossible! EDIT: Here's the Phils. version. ![]() -- Last edit: 2013-01-12 15:48:33 |

This is NOT a Philippine spec Camry, as this model did not have a white color sold during 2002-2006. |

The camry was customized to be used as a police car in the philippines as police cars. |

I just saw the movie. This car has a very racy V6 engine sound. I wonder if it's the real engine sound they used because the Camry was available with a V6. |

AUS/US-Spec Camry. PNP's Highway Patrol Group division did use some XV30 Camrys before getting replaced by modern units but I don't know why they would use an imported vehicle just to be crashed in a car chase sequence when a local equivalent exists. |

Made for USA then (AUS cars would have clear indicators and RHD) |

Most likely the production bought USDM Camrys in the states, reengineered them for structural reinforcement so that the cars can take a hard beating and still work for multiple takes, and shipped them over here. |

Yes. In the Philippines, the fifth generation Camry was initially introduced in 2002 with 2.0- and 2.4-liter engines, with 4-speed automatic and no manual transmission. Compared to the US version, this had a different front end design (grille and headlights), as well as inner taillight garnishes. |
