Actually this is a General-Pacific. The General Fire Truck Corporation was formed in 1926 in St. Louis MO. A few years later they moved to Detroit. In 1937 they opened a west coast subsidiary in Los Angeles to be called the General-Pacific Corporation. The last fire apparatus came off the line in 1957. There is no coorelation with a Canadian firm. LA County FD purchased several of these in 1949. |
