A 1935 Albion registered BS 1511 supplied to the firm of John Jolly in Kirkwall (Orkney) and preserved in their livery - http://www.gracesguide.co.uk/File:Im20121026GTM-Albion.jpg , http://www.flickr.com/photos/dscn8785/5990845050/ . It's significance for the museum is that it was built locally at the Leyland/Albion Scotstoun factory in west Glasgow. John Jolly still in business as shipbrokers, stevedores, shipping and forwarding agents - http://www.johnjolly.co.uk/ . -- Last edit: 2013-02-02 23:36:53 |
