GAZ M1 1935 - 1943 http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/cars/gaz/20652/view/gaz_m1/ originates from Ford V8, first russian car of that class http://www.asergeev.com/pictures/archives/compress/2003/349/26.htm -- Last edit: 2012-09-12 15:04:53 |

definitely, as it is copycat of Ford B model V8 in 1932 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAZ /vehicle_358395-GAZ-M-1-G.html nicked EMKA as the M stands for Molotov, guess it was the ministers car with cocktail in minibar without joking, you are right, as that time USA exported or donated sedans to Soviet Union and in 1935 this is first car that class they built by license of Ford some kind of development assistance as Junkers did with its airplanes in the 20ies -- Last edit: 2012-09-12 15:23:10 |

rear windows too square to be a GAZ M1. Also the spare wheels on the M1 were never mounted on the wings. To compare, here is an M1 from the same angle: http://www.asergeev.com/pictures/archives/2003/349/jpeg/26.jpg Suggest something American circa 1932/3 |

Moreover, GAZ-M1 had not trunk. Have the opinion that it is a German car. |

The cars in this film have Leningrad plates, but produced by Mosfilm. Looks pretty much exactly like this Mercedes 290 from Moscow: http://img01.avto-nomer.ru/140722/o/su216286.jpg Details look to be identical: Link to "www.facebook.com" |

For now I would put this as Mercedes-Benz unknown, and leave the rest to the experts. |

Have the opinion that it is a German car.
