It's a purpose-built crane. It sits way too low to be on a medium-duty chassis and it would be a full-size cab. |

isn't it a bit too small to be purpose build ? see it's smaller than the Dodge Van in main pic I thought this crane size, specially on 2 axles at rear are truck chassis |

Basically something like this http://cranenetwork.com/details?id=164520 |

Cranes like these are more nimble to get around with enough lifting capability for most inter-city jobs (like what's in the link). Not that often do jobs require heavier cranes than 30-40 ton. |

The closest I could find to this is a Grove TMS 250.. however it looks smaller, like a 20-ton crane. http://www.tkcranes.com/images/81%20TMS250B92WEB.jpg |

think this is what we actually deal with a simple truck and with something like this this JLG 1500TC is very very close, it has also an extended operator cab behind the main cab !! this is a JLG crane now I am quite sure,!!! here the panel at bottom is just missing but looks like it notice in this pic, same suicide doors and the vents beneath the cabin are same !! so this would be a simple truck mounted with JLG crane , the problem cabin is not really visible so the truck can't be identified -- Last edit: 2023-10-17 01:54:06 |

You can always contact J. Supor & Son and ask them which truck they leased to this movie. -- Last edit: 2023-10-17 15:08:55 |

you though they would advertise it themselves !! , hey look we were in a big budget Hollywood movie starring Robert Redford, Debra Winger and Darryl Hannah, directed by Ivan Reitman .... here what gets even more irritating, they actually had some behind the scenes of this scene but no better view of crane see 4.08 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTLKI1vt8oo&t=260s -- Last edit: 2023-10-17 15:16:23 |

Maybe JLG 1500-Series if we don't know exactly which model it is? |

They do have some pictures of their older equipment on their Facebook page. Unfortunately, nothing I can see matches with this particular crane/truck combo. |

maybe someone with FB ask them about it ? here something interesting if you view side by side it's the same crane just the cabin different place so out specimen , (rear panels are missing ) and the "ordinary" 1500 , looks pretty much same just with cabin slapped there -- Last edit: 2023-10-19 22:18:56 |
