1970+ 2000 Mk2, locally assembled. Has wheel trims from 2.5Pi but no vinyl pillars or rear panel trim, so am being cautious about local trim detail. |

Those wheel trims were seen on most of the local Triumphs. They may have been standard from a particular date. The Triumphs were built in the same Nelson plant that also built Jaguar XJ6s and later, Honda Accords and Civics. In the early 1970s the Triumph was one of the top three selling models here, along with the Holden HQ and the Cortina. |

In UK the trims were standard fit from 1967 on 2.5Pi (Mk1 and then Mk2) as well as GT6 Mk2, Vitesse 2 litre Mk2 and early Stags. Never used on 2000, nor on 2500TC or 2500S, so for me they are specific. But they're only cheap trim covers, and easy enough for NZ to use them on as many models as it wants. |
