These appear to be Model Ts, all 1917+ models. A roadster on the left, tourer in the middle and maybe a runabout on the right. Buenos Aires assembled? |

The white car in the background and the car next to it - or is it a carriage? - are too obscured to be listed. But I need someone to confirm these Lizzies... -- Last edit: 2017-03-16 19:13:34 |

Argentina drove on the left until 1945, when they succumbed to the popular fad of driving on the right. It won't last. Might these cars have come from Trafford Park? -- Last edit: 2017-03-16 20:34:16 |

How did you come to that conclusion? |

Because it's where Ford was located in England? |

No, I mean why should these come from Trafford Park when they could just as well be made in Argentina? Besides, many cars, " 'Murica" even, had RHD steering back then, even if the countries were LHD. |

The fact that I phrased my comment as a question should indicate to you that I have not come to any conclusion. The cars are, however, right hand drive and my knowledge of motor industry economics suggests that it is likely that the cars might have been supplied to Argentina c.k.d. and assembled there. At the least, the steering components could have been sourced from U.K. Trafford Park, in Manchester, was the Ford headquarters in England before the opening of the Dagenham plant. It appears, from a note elsewhere by dsl, that NZ Ts were supplied from Canada, which would suggest that right hand drive steering components were available from there also. -- Last edit: 2017-03-16 23:38:28 |

The Model T in New Zealand: /vehicle_183938-Ford-Model-T-1915.html Of course, trade policies within the British Empire/Commonwealth might have been the reason for supplying New Zealand from Canada. Presumably the cargo was shipped from Vancouver or somewhere else on the Pacific coast. -- Last edit: 2017-03-16 23:44:30 |

I think these can be safely listed as Model Ts - don't know what else it could be. Windscreen position is hard to see, so 1917+ by default. |

Have entered as made in Argentina as a live possibility and so they can be easily retrieved if/when more info found. |
