1960 Pontiac Laurentian Sport Coupe. Another canadian built american car. Laurentian was the canadian name for the Bonneville. With the 1949 Monarch, it's the second canadian car in this movie. Shot in Canada? |

To correct archi87 the Laurentian was not the Canadian name for Bonneville. The Laurentian was the middle car of three, so is probably closer to the US Star Chief in trim level. |

It is correct that the Laurentian was equivalent to the US Star Chief in trim level. The movie "In Cold Blood" was shot in Canada, outside Calgary Alberta, though the book/movie setting was primarily in Kansas and the US. I own this car and was living in Calgary during the period that the movie was shot. Have since moved near Houston TX and the car remains in pristine condition as part of a classic car collection. |
