The main one is a 1985-1988 GMC C-2500 Sierra equipped with a Wideside bed.
The one in the thumbnail is a Chevrolet C-10. Are they supposed to be the same truck? Because if not then maybe the Chevy can get it's own page?

the tailgate on the truck in the thumbnail reads GMC :??:

also doesn't the fender badge on the main image (and the thumbnail for that matter) look like the Chevrolet style?

I think this is rather a Chevrolet C-20 Custom Deluxe Fleetside with replacement GMC grille

D'oh! You're right. The thumbnail truck is indeed a GMC 1/2-ton truck.

I'm fairly sure the truck in the main image is a GMC. While it has Chevrolet hubcaps, notice that it is a base model. If it was a Chevrolet, it would need to have the longer "Custom Deluxe" badge. This one (as well as the one in the thumbnail) definitely has the shorter "Sierra" badge.

I don't think the GMCs had emblems in that shape Compare:

While the GMC in my example is a High Sierra emblem (I couldn't find a good pic of a Sierra one online) you can still see what i am talking about, GMC's emblem has the trim name followed by a square with the chassis designation in it, where Chevrolets has the trim level with the chassis designation above and the "starburst" underneath making the emblem form the shape of a "t" or cross on its side.

I stand corrected ;)

Hmmm... if it weren't for the tailgate it could be dismissed as a Chevy with a GMC grille.

Now that I take a much closer look, are both the same truck? The bed damage a bit below the gas tank opening next to the rear wheel well on the main image seems to be consistent with damage visible in the thumbnail

I think they are the same, the rear bumper matches as well. It appears the truck lost it's wheel covers in the thumbnail though

So then what could it be? It has a GMC front end and tailgate, but Chevrolet hubcaps and name badge :??:

well I am guessing that it is just a Chevrolet with replacement grille and tailgate as both of those are more likely to be replaced than the fender emblems

True about the replacement tailgate. The truck very likely could have been repainted after the tail gate was put on since the paint looks in pretty good condition.
