Trying to find some info of a race in the rain. Some info here but mention of rain in 1935 - http://www.forix.com/8w/stuck.html. Maybe the picture here is 1934? because the Alfa Romeo appears to be a straight axle model. In the link is mention of the first Avus event for the new Auto Unions on May 27 1934 - maybe it is this race? |

Here we go - http://www.kolumbus.fi/leif.snellman/gp342.htm - #42 is the winning Auto Union of Hans Stuck and #66 is the Miller driven by Peter De Paolo. The engine is listed as a 5 litre straight 8. The Alfa is Varzi in #60. -- Last edit: 2011-08-31 13:00:10 |
