"the Incredible changing Land Rover" (some kind of stealth/illusion mode.!?) ..it starts the Journey at night (see pics 1&2 below) ...then changes to a Jeep while crossing the desert (..& not even the same colour.!! ..see pic 3) ..then as approaching the arab encampment ... changes back to a Land Rover (pics 4&5 + above) ( Alexander...is the land rover the same at start and finish.? ..grill looks different than usual landy's?) -- Last edit: 2006-07-21 10:39:52

Anyhow, it is a Land-Rover 88" Series I (1956-58). The grille is movie prop, as are the tarpaulin sides and doors. Perhaps the CJ-6 broke down and they needed a replacement...

This is special... "the Incredible changing Land Rover" (some kind of stealth/illusion mode.!?) ..it starts the Journey at night (see pics 1&2 below) ...then changes to a Jeep while crossing the desert (..& not even the same colour.!! ..see pic 3) ..then as approaching the arab encampment ... changes back to a Land Rover (pics 4&5 + above)

( Alexander...is the land rover the same at start and finish.? ..grill looks different than usual landy's?)

It is a Changeling, normally called Odo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Changeling_%28Star_Trek%29)... or perhaps a T-1000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-1000)?
