Something odd here - plate is WPB 138M so 1974 issue. But car detail exactly matches Aug 83 Sprite edition - a 1275cc version based on City in Cinnibar Red with black bumpers and boot stripe (just visible), Exaction 10" alloy wheels, special wheel arch extensions, and tints; 2500 made. PS. Whichever it is, it is [ADO20]. -- Last edit: 2011-05-14 19:47:16 |

Looks very like a Sprite, apart from the 1969-77 tail light clusters. -- Last edit: 2011-05-14 22:24:56 |

Looked at this again and the plate info gives Registration WPB 138M Make MORRIS Model MINI Description 1000 ✗ Untaxed Tax due: 01 June 1989 MOT No results returned Date of first registration: June 1974 Cylinder capacity (cc): 998 cc Fuel type: PETROL Export marker: No Vehicle status: Not taxed Vehicle colour: ORANGE So the contradictions are unresolved. The visible details - apart from the rear lights mentioned ^ - are pretty well exact for Sprite, including quirks such as the poverty black paint on bumpers and housing for number plate light - and the Sprite was not an obviously attractive edition to become a candidate for replication if rebuilding a knackered or derelict Mini - there are lots of more exciting and easy choices. Am keeping the ID as Sprite for reference and easy retrieval. |
