In film it is a prototype of modernized Model T, redesigned by Edsel Ford.
However Henry Ford had "few" objections to the new look of the car:

i have seen this dvd a couple of times... its supposed to be a the stagnant model b prototype. but henry (cliff robertson) says no and scraps the car. then came out with the model a v8 in the time of the great depression....
