Can anyone read this plate? I had no results for P248YTH and P246YTH. @dhill_cb7 @dsl

P was never issued with YTH (or YTM). TH was a Swansea combo and the location of DVLA - they kept some segregated series for use as dummies (film, TV, publicity photos etc) and I guess P+YTH was one of them. We had a list of some somewhere, but haven't stumbled upon it for a long time - I think it was in a discussion which also had dummy phone number series for similar TV/film use (van sides, placards, shop fronts etc).

Thank you as always :) very interesting that they reserved some batches of plates for such use.

Anyway, if 146 follows 145, GB didn't get black bumpers on base trim, so not necessarily an L. Or you didn't get the base 146 after 1997?
Edit: If I see well it has painted door handles, and that would mean 1.8 Twin Spark L.

First 3 UK 146s were June 95 1.6 (presumably no fogs), 1.6 L (fogs) and 1.7 16v (fogs) - no mention of body colour bits - however they all apparently had tints. These 3 were all replaced in March 97 by TS range. Meanwhile in Feb 96 a 2.0 Ti was added with bodykit and body-coloured bits (mirrors, spoiler) which with a slight facelift in May 99 (revised grille, body colour bumpers, round fogs) lasted until Jan 2001

So logic would suggest 146, like 145, never got black bumpers in the base trim. Anyway if this one has alloys, bigger side skirts and painted handles, but no rear spoiler, would be a 1.8 TS if I'm not missing any British special edition.

Ok - jumping in again. No UK special edition 147s listed. And no reference to rear screen wiper on any version. March 97 TS range (1.6 TS and 1.8 TS, plus from July 98 to May 99 only 1.6 TS Junior) was twin spark, but only by initials. Proper Twin Spark name only used from Feb 2001 (1.6 Twin Spark Turismo and Lusso, 2.0 Twin Spark Lusso and Selespeed Lusso) which was also when we got our first 3-door 147s alongside 5-doors.

Always useful informations :) yes, I noticed the absence of rear wiper, and here the story was: all 145/6 started with standard rear wiper, then with the 1997 update it became an option on all 146s except Ti, then with the 1999 facelift it was again standard on all versions except the 1.4 in basic/standard trim (on which it was optional). I'm not sure about other markets, but I believe it shouldn't be an useful clue.
I standardized Twin Spark naming (we had a mixture of TS, T. Spark and Twin Spark) because that's the way used in official brochures/press material (at least usually) and to have a coherence between Alfa models. Often price lists and other sources use only the initials, and on the car badges always read T. Spark. If disagreed we could revert, but maybe would be more difficult to keep tidy.
