Almost certainly the car of Estonian and Soviet chess champion Paul Keres (1916-1975)

For the Detroit iron buffs and to answer rjluna2's question, chassis number is G356614. The car was registered in Estonia(n SSR) on July 27, 1974, 11 months before Keres' death.

No, its from US and have interesting history.

Paul Keres shared first place with Tigran Petrosian in Piatigorsky Cup chess tournament(1963 Los Angeles). They used prize money to buy new cars(im not 100% sure what Petrosian bought, probably also Rambler as mentioned in wiki).
Paul Keres bought Rambler from Newark, New Jersey 1. august 1963

Car arrived with ship to Riga and Keres collected it from there and drove home. Car has been in Estonia since 1963 not 1974(he sold it 1974, i think thats why its registered as 1974?). Probably this Rambler was first(privately owned) new western car in Estonian SSR. Back then(Cold War era) chess was more than just sport so good chess players could have/do things what was impossible for others.

Today car have black plates(A0004 AMC RAMBLER CLASSIC SIX VIN: G356614) and is in car museum.

Paul Keres was car guy. He had fist(privately owned) GAZ-M20 Pobeda in Estonian SSR 1948 and GAZ-21 Volga 1957(not first but one of the first).
Later he had 1973 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Based on the images, 660 rather than 550.
