not for the american market i believe... just "Super Beetle Convertible". we got the "Cabriolet" name for the first time with the Rabbit (Golf) body style if i remember correctly.

A kind of dangerous colour - it has one name, but three different shades. Bad surprises after repainting are possible. :/

as opposed to bmw... occasionally known to rename the same color from year to year. less likely to cause a bad repaint, but equally confusing when trying to keep the color names clear in your head.

I am not sure if Volkswagen have paint code imbedded to the car :think:

I am sure that even pro body shop would miss that thinking those colors are universal.

@rljuna2: yes, VW had remarked the colour-code. In the past (I'm talking about the 70ies) it was a little silvermetallic sticker in the trunk. But sometimes it was getting lost...
It depends on the country, somewhere the colour is noted in the papers. But often not with the exact company-code.
