Looks like a 109" series 2, torpedo or what is called this kind of long & all open body type?

I think, like medimanic, it's a Series II 109"; look at the distance between the door and the wheel-arch, and the rear overhang. Some effort has been made to make it look military - painted headlight bezels, funny registration plate - but I don't think it is or ever was.

That format of plate seems to be fairly accurate for the British military.

But combat vehicles have white text on black plates, and I don't think there would be two groups of letters next to each other.

Gag Halfrunt is right: British military registrations since WW2 have always been NN LL NN or, more recently, LL NN LL. (Back in the 40s/50s, for instance, my Uncle Jack's Austin 16 staff car was 60 ZB 66.)

That is an ex Australian Army Vehicle, Series 2a 109" General Service as it has tool holders on the front Guards, looks like an American made film. I know there is one of these located in Los Angeles owned by Army Truck INC http://armytrucksinc.com/battle-damaged-vehicles/
Definitley a Genuine Aussie Army Vehicle! check out www.remlr.com

cheers,
