The fibreglass cab shown commenced in 1958, but the white shape to the left of the "Gardner" logo is a knight's helmet, suggesting that this is one of the early 1960s "Black Knight" range of 4, 6 and 8 wheeled rigids. "Silver Knight" were tractor units and "Gold Knight" were short wheelbase heavy duty chassis for truck mixers and tippers. |

Looks like its the slightly disguised 1974 Atkinson Searcher TGX497M with rare factory-fitted sleeper cab. Even the sheeted load is the same. http://ccmv.fotopic.net/p29414336.html -- Last edit: 2010-02-13 11:26:03 |

The very same, Sunbar - new to (Dial All Roads) Transport. To be REALLY picky, the sleeper isn't factory fitted - it was the 'official' Atkinson sleeper conversion, but was carried out on already completed vehicles, by a coachbuilder in Kent. All orders for them were processed by Atkinson Vehicles (London) Ltd |
