nzcarnerd ◊ 2010-02-11 19:03	These were assembled in NZ in very small numbers and sold as the Rambler Rebel. I think the date is 1970 and they had the 304 V8 - a neighbour of ours bought one new.

Australian Ramblers were assembled by Australian Motor Industries (AMI) in Melbourne http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Motor_Industries . They also assembled Triumphs, Mercedes and Toyotas there, and the plant was later taken over by Toyota.
