This vehicle is a 1968/69 series 2A station wagon (with Safari roof), dressed up as a Series 3. Points in favour of my claim: - series 2 hinges on the doors and windscreen. - the lack of the hole in the passenger's side wing, where a Series 3 heater would draw air from. - Deep sills. Sills changed from 3" to 2" approx mid 1969. Points against: - Series 3 plastic grill. - Registration letter year. |

Absolutely correct, it is a Series IIa with later added SIII plastic grille and a fake registration plate. Door and window hinges plus the deep sills are a dead give-away. |

Is this the same Land Rover as used in "The Glory Boys"? CCD 999T? Only without its bright stripes down the side. |
