It's worth noting that this series is a bit fond of fanciful, quasi-futuristic car designs. This is an odd case. This is called "the Quest-Rover" in dialogue, as if it were designed by Dr. Quest himself. Race even says, "If it were anything but a Quest-Rover we'd be walking to Nairobi" after the thing is trashed by an elephant and survives. And yet the animators clearly used a Land Rover. So, why would they go through all the trouble of drawing and animating one of the most recognizable cars on Earth, and then call it "the Quest-Rover?" They would've done better to do what they usually do, and use their own made-up body style. |
