Hi there, the body was designed and built by the london county council in thier london borough of wandsworth workshops. The lcc also designed the modification to the rear axle using a allard de dion suspension similair to racing cars of the time. |

Hi Sunbar, I've added comments to similar pages where discussion has taken place regarding 'wandsworths' I'm not sure if I'm using the 'site' correctly but still the info is out there. I found them by searching austin and ambulances. I've been interested in these type of ambulances for years and until the internet came along thought they were 'rare', pictures and information on the net still is, but this site is the best I have found for photos. |

Probably 473 EXH (especially thumb). |

t2steve is the owner of a prior reg number 472 EXH and that is a 1963 vehicle. |
