My first thought: Link to "www.facebook.com" because of the https://majorette-model-cars.fandom.com/wiki/Simca_1100_TI The Dyane is listed in this Canadian brochure (very unique as opposed to the US where the 2CV already had a microscopic presence, the Dyane was not offered at all to my knowledge) http://www.citroenet.org.uk/foreign/canada/018.jpg -- Last edit: 2025-08-08 21:03:23 |

Sept 67 Paris show launch, 3rd window was Sept 69+ UK. Citroen in Canada page says " It should be noted that Citroën Canada’s sales had slowly reached around 1,000 cars per year in 1969, including around a hundred twin-cylinder Ami 6s, Méhari and especially Dyane, models that were sold out in 1970", but no exact date for CDN launch. However until Sept 68 all Dyanes were 425/435cc only, and it must be a strong possibility that serious exports only started when 602cc added - UK for instance only ever got 602, launched here Sept 68 - so I'd vote 69 Dyane 6 for CDN as well. Not proof, but it would have been a hard sell to shift the lesser versions for the CDN market ??? |
