Not a half bad looking car, I’m not too crazy for the color though. |

Beautiful color. Is it factory? |

The color appears similar to the Pontiac color Martinique Blue, which was introduced for 1978. There actually weren't any blue Trans Ams from the factory in 1977. |

That car is a 1978 Firebird Trans Am. The 1978 and 1977 Firebirds had very few exterior differences, the only way you can tell that car from one made in 1977 is the grill and the width of the roof between the "T-tops". In 1977, the grill had small "honeycombs" where the 1978 had just a plain hatch pattern, also, the 1977 had far smaller T-top glass than the 1978, leaving the space between the glass tops noticeably larger in 1977. |

^^^Actually, the Hurst t-tops (smaller) were installed on 1978 models up until the mid model year, I happen to own a bitchin' '78 with Hurst T-Tops. |

Also, the seats were different. The `77 the ribs on the seat backs were vertical. The ones on the `78s, were horizontal. The mag wheels on the `77 the turbine goes all the way to the rim. The `78 ( as you can see from the photos ) are inset. |
