The old question again: what we take as an "origin base", the chassis or the body? Usually we take the chassis, so orign Germany (because based on the Mercedes Sprinter) would be correct. Nearly all truck-bodies were built in the country, where the chassis was exported to, often the same with ambulances, hearses and motorhomes and ice-cream-vans. Just see the many "Luton"-bodied light trucks in the UK - none of them were built in Germany (if a Mercedes or VW), Italy (Iveco) or Sweden (Volvo). |

P.S. In the last months I saw three times trailer-trucks, loaded with non-bodied, "naked" Dodge/Freightliner Sprinter-chassis on the way to the shipping-port. So Mercedes Benz only builts the chassis, the rest will be added abroad. |

We should have Dodge as the make, the cab is Dodge, and so is the grill. Much less, we normally list class C motorhomes under the chassis maker (unless the grill is different from what there based on, or something like that, or if the front end is not visable) and class A motorhomes get listed under the body maker. |
