I searched for other Norwegian-registered VW Rabbits (there were surprisingly many of them, actually - I guess they bred like rabbits). And another one from 1982 (with a Diesel engine) had the following VIN: 1VWFG0178CV079231

Lateef ◊ 2023-06-05 17:56	Privately imported, so I guess they were brought into the country either by someone who had lived in the US or Canada, or they were former private cars of US diplomats or servicemen sold to the public.
