Yes, I think it should be 1VWBA0173CV114838 instead. I searched for other Norwegian-registered VW Rabbits (there were surprisingly many of them, actually - I guess they bred like rabbits). And another one from 1982 (with a Diesel engine) had the following VIN: 1VWFG0178CV079231 |

Privately imported, so I guess they were brought into the country either by someone who had lived in the US or Canada, or they were former private cars of US diplomats or servicemen sold to the public. |
