humungus ◊ 2023-03-11 13:13	The truck is actually moving and to me it looks real, as do its surroundings. No idea what it's supposed to be, though: The scene takes place during the making of The Spanish Earth, so it's obviously meant to be something from the Spanish civil war.

It was used by the republican party to spread the propaganda with its humongous loudspeaker during the Spanish Civil War : The movie most likely used period footage : Link to "vehiculosblindadosdelaguerracivil.blogspot.com" Unfortunately there is no mention about the truck's make. Obviously it should be based on something mass-produced, however 4 vent holes on the wheel rims are quite peculiar. They don't seem to suggest Ford from this era There is a possibly that it could be based on ZiS 5, because a lot of them were converted into armored trucks during the war in Spain, but that being said they usually have 2 vent holes on each rim.. -- Last edit: 2023-03-13 15:47:58
