She really is as sadistic and brutal as one would imagine, in this scene (Mother Maria and fellow inmates being sent for selection in early 1945) even commenting "finally I got something to do again!" In fact, all the Nazis in this movie sound very accurate, barking in brash dialect-free German that almost made it feel like a Western coproduction.
