the brown one (left) is a 1977 (grill style) |

But the brown one doesn't have amber signal lenses, wouldn't it be older then? |

No, the whole bodystyle was made between 1973 and 1977, and the grille was made halfway between 1975 and 1977. 1977's have the smaller cowl insignia near the windshield, like they had in 1978 and 1979. Also, if this is an F-150, it can only be one of two years; Either 1976 or 1977. -- Last edit: 2008-03-28 14:05:28 |

The left one is a 1977, cause' my dad had one. God, I miss it. |

My point is to notice that the turn signal lenses above the headlights are nearly transparent on the '76: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/main.php?g2_itemId=41156 but they are definitely orange/yellow (amber) on the '77: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/main.php?g2_itemId=41184 So that would make the brown one on the left a 1976 (or late '75). |

On the left, I see the inscription on the fender do indicates 1976 model year. |
